Bernie Rushe

Founder & Managing Director

Bernie has been involved in the management of supply chain and business process improvement activities for over 20 years. She received her Lean Six Sigma training at Dell Computer Corporation. In 2001 she left Dell to establish Cordatus Consulting, trading as Lean Ireland since May 2018. Her lean six sigma consulting skills and practical workshops have yielded benefits in the order of several €millions per year to client companies. In addition she is experienced in deploying lean six sigma in the supply chain, thus greatly enhancing client competitiveness. She holds a first class honours masters’ degree in supply chain management.

Tell us a bit about your business and what you can offer your customers?

We are enablers. Our team of experienced consultants supports clients in establishing a culture of continuous process improvement within the organisation. We train clients to help themselves. The results include increased customer satisfaction and increased business, all at a lower cost for our clients. References are available from all clients, on request.

• Lean transformation – programme development, and training

• Six sigma consulting and training, contract black belt

• Supply Chain Management – system re-design, consulting & training

• Strategic planning & organisation design

What is the most rewarding part about the work you do?

Supporting people at client sites to work together as a team, while learning new tools and skills, is very rewarding. The end results for clients are tangible, visible and easily measured (by the client finance department). This validates our work, and motivates us to continue helping others.

Lean Ireland consultants are experienced and trusted transformation agents, assisting clients to understand lean manufacturing, services and healthcare. We enable clients to adapt lean principles and practices for their organisation needs.

What is your goal for the year ahead? Personal or business related!

Our goal for 2020 is to broaden our range of online national and international services, including online coaching for all clients, and webinars for small businesses who couldn’t usually afford to hire a consultant. We also plan to have some fun at Galway 2020 events.
